F I G NEWS:
November saw the departure of founding members of the FIG Richard and Jackie Nelder.
Rich and Jaks have made an enormous contribution to the ministry of the FIG over the last eleven years and frankly have been the fellowships backbone which has helped many folk to find strength and stand tall. Always there to provide spiritual and practical support, I don’t know where Jane, myself and our family, (especially or dearly departed dog Jenny) would have been without them.
Richard’s practical skills as treasurer has steered a safe course for the fellowship, whilst Jackie’s sensitivity in the Holy Spirit has greatly aided our gatherings. We have seen them grow and blossom as children of God, and it is with some sadness and much excitement, that we wave them goodbye and anticipate the new chapter God has prepared for their lives.
Jesus spoke these words when instructing his disciples to regularly take communion. Because bread and wine constituted the peoples daily diet, He knew, when eating and drinking, He would be remembered daily!
Taking a moment to remember the goodness of Jesus everyday feeds us spiritually, by combining that with our daily meals can only bring greater blessing to our whole being - mind, body and spirit; which then naturally overflows to bless those around us.
